Arctic Knits is Weichien Chan’s debut book — a collection of colourwork patterns rooted in her life in Iqaluit, in the Canadian Arctic. The designs are shaped by the landscape: clean, modern silhouettes where pattern and colour do the talking, built to actually keep you warm.

Each project is anchored by a core garment — a sweater, a pair of socks — with matching mitten, hat, and scarf variations so you can build a full coordinated winter collection. All patterns are gender neutral and size inclusive, with guidance on finishing, colour selection, and choosing sustainable yarns.

The photography throughout offers a genuine window into Arctic life — not just knitwear on a backdrop, but the landscape and light that inspired it.
