DMC Evenweave - By the Half Metre
DMC Monaco Evenweave is a 28-count 100% cotton fabric with an even, consistent weave across both thread directions. Unlike Aida, evenweave has individual threads rather than woven blocks, which gives more flexibility in how you stitch — it can be worked over one thread for fine detail or over two threads for a result similar to 14-count Aida.
Monaco is suited to a wide range of needlework techniques: cross stitch, machine embroidery, punch needle, ribbon embroidery, crewel, and stamped designs. The even thread structure makes it particularly well-suited to techniques that benefit from consistent thread spacing.
