Knits and Essays from the Forest

Observations by Lotta H. Löthgren is a knitwear collection rooted in place — specifically, a small village in southeast Sweden, surrounded by forests and lakes, where Löthgren writes, knits, designs, and hand-dyes yarn. The nine patterns in the book are for wearable garments and accessories designed to last, each shaped by close attention to the natural landscape around her.

Alongside the patterns, the book includes essays on living a life close to nature. The two elements sit together rather than separately — the writing and the knitting come from the same source.
