A new quilt block every month — one session at a time. Join Meg for this ongoing workshop series where each month you’ll learn to piece a different traditionally pieced quilt block.

Each finished block measures 15” x 15” (plus seam allowance) and can be turned into a pillow, wall hanging, or table runner — or sign up for multiple sessions and collect blocks to build your own sampler quilt. Meg will walk you through your options and the steps to take your blocks all the way to a finished project.

In each session, you’ll cover:

  • Colour theory & quilt design
  • How to precisely cut fabric using a rotary cutter
  • Checking seam allowances
  • Matching/nesting seams
  • Traditional piecing — with strip or chain piecing where applicable
  • Pressing vs. ironing
  • Common quilt blocks (when applicable): half square triangles, flying geese, and more

Note: Materials are not included. Bring fabric from your stash or enjoy a 10% discount on in-store materials purchased for use in the workshop. A materials list will be sent in your confirmation email after you sign up.
