A Maker’s Guide to Patchwork & Quilting

Patchwork & Quilting: A Maker’s Guide is a project collection published by the Victoria and Albert Museum, drawing on quilting and patchwork traditions from across the world. Each of the 15 projects takes its cue from a distinct tradition — Indian kantha, Japanese boro patchwork, English wholecloth quilting, block- and strip-pieced quilts of North America, and appliqué traditions from Hawaii and Panama. The range of source traditions is broad, and the projects are designed by teachers and practitioners working in each area.

Projects are suitable for crafters at all levels, and each includes guidance on developing the techniques further into individual designs beyond the book.

Also in the quilting section: Modern Improv Quilting and The Quilting Book.
