Time

1:00PM-3:00PM

A hands-on introduction to garment sewing, following Closet Core’s Azure pattern. This class is designed for sewists who are comfortable using a sewing machine and are ready to make their first wearable garment.

The Azure pattern offers five views, but this class focuses on View C — the cropped sleeveless top. It’s a well-structured starting point: enough technique to build real skills, compact enough to complete in three sessions. By the end, you’ll have the foundation to tackle the other views independently.

Over three Sunday sessions, we’ll cover:

  • Choosing your size and making basic pattern modifications, including lengthening
  • Cutting fabric and applying interfacing
  • Sewing bust darts
  • Assembling the bodice, adding a button loop, and finishing seams
  • Finishing armholes using the burrito method
  • Hemming and final finishing

Note: The Azure pattern is included in the workshop fee. Materials are not provided — bring fabric and thread from your stash, or take 10% off any materials purchased in-store on the day.
