Join local artist Kelly Bee (@inclusivestorytime) for an exciting, introductory Block Printing Workshop!

Get hands-on with carving and printing in this friendly, relaxed workshop. You’ll learn everything needed to make your own durable block stamps and use them to print crisp, permanent designs on clothing or fabric. This workshop is perfect for beginners curious about carving and printmaking, as well as more experienced makers who want to personalize clothing, tote bags, home textiles, gifts, and more!

    What you’ll do

    • Learn basic carving techniques and how to transfer an image onto your carving block.
    • Carve 2–3 stamps at 2" square each, or one larger stamp up to about 4".
    • Use black screen print ink as block-printing ink and practice pulling clean, repeatable prints on fabric.
    • Learn a simple, reliable method to set the ink so your prints stay permanent through wear and washing.
    • Learn proper cleaning and long-term care so your new stamps last for years and work on various surfaces.

Note: Tools are provided! The only thing you'll need to bring is a small fabric item to print on, such as a t-shirt or tea towel.

You’ll leave with finished stamps, printed fabric samples, and the skills and care knowledge to keep carving and printing on your own!
