Sit down at a sewing machine and leave with a finished bag — all in three hours.

In this complete beginner workshop led by Jasmine, you’ll learn the essentials of machine sewing: how to thread a domestic sewing machine, basic cutting and stitching, stitch control, and simple finishing techniques — all while making your very own drawstring bag.

Never touched a sewing machine before? Perfect. That’s exactly who this class is for. A cheerful, hands-on session with step-by-step guidance from start to finish.

Note: Materials are not included. Bring fabric from your stash or enjoy a 10% discount on in-store materials purchased on the day of the workshop for use during the session.
About the Instructor

Jasmine (she/her) learned to knit and sew as a child with her grandmother. For her, crafting is a practice of self- and community care that she brings a spirit of inclusivity and anti-perfectionism to. She especially enjoys making things that bring comfort to her favourite people and loves seeing others build confidence in their crafting skills.
