Happy Knits for Little Kids

Mini Pom is a collection of 11 knitting and crochet patterns for children aged 0–10, created by Meghan Fernandes and Lydia Gluck of Pom Pom Press. The book revisits beloved grown-up designs from the Pom Pom archive — scaled and reimagined for small bodies and the way they move — alongside new patterns designed just for kids.

Highlights include Mini Woodwardia, a classic raglan pullover; Mini Battenberg, a granny square cardigan inspired by the fanciest of cakes; and Mini Skipworth, a pair of perfectly proportioned mittens for cold days. Each pattern is designed to be returned to across multiple sizes as children grow.

The book also includes colouring pages for every design — a lovely way for kids (and adults) to explore colour combinations before casting on.
